After a successful career in sales and marketing for software technology firms in Silicon Valley, Geoff turned his attention to wine. He served as a sommelier and wine director at notable fine dining restaurants. Later, he shifted his focus to education and launched the GuildSomm website, growing the organization to 15,000 members worldwide. In addition, he hosted the industry's top wine podcast, co-produced multiple documentary films, a television show, and dozens of educational videos. He also started a winery and taught classes in more than 40 countries. 

Today, Geoff resides in the southeastern United States with his wife, daughter, dog, and chickens. He is focusing on education design and e-learning projects while exploring a diverse range of personal interests.
